Democratic People's Republic of Korea North Korea or more officially called Democratic People's Republic of Korea have an 66 deaths out of 100,000 lives births and although this does not seem as much of an issue to other countries, we still have to factor in how many people including women are deprived many necessities of life because of their government. If you were to look around the other countries in East Asia you would easily be able to compare the numbers to each other, in 2017 Japan had 5 deaths out of 100,000 live births, South Korea had 11 deaths out of 100,000 live births. Due to the lack of a well-built health system more than half of under five age deaths occur  during the first 28 days of life due to preterm birth complications. The preterm birth complications could be avoided in some cases if women had better education on their pregnancy, the necessities for their pregnancies from their government. Good Health and Well-Being  The third sustainable development goal is to ensure healthy living and promoting well-being to all ages around the world. It is a goal to expand life expectancy as well as to find better ways to control many communicable diseases. By 2030 it is the United Nations goal to lower the maternal mortality rates of "less the 70 maternal deaths per 100,000 live births.." (United Nations 2019). "From 2000 to 2017 data has shown that that the global maternal mortality ratio declined by 38 percent" (Unicef.org). Although that does not seem like a high percentage it does mean that there is something changing, whether it be many young girls in developing countries getting more information on contraceptives, sex education or getting a better education overall.
