C H A D 

Chad is located in North Central Africa, the population in 2017 was roughly around 15 million. Amongst those 15 million in 2018 120,000 in Chad were affected with HIV, 6500 were newly infected and 3100 had died from AIDS related illnesses. Although there has been some progress within the years the Republic of Chad still has a long way to go. 
 As present in the graph to the left it indicates how there has been a decline in AIDs related deaths in the recent years. In 2010 there was a 12% decrease in AIDs related deaths  from 3500 to 3100 deaths. The small decrease still is an achievement within the Republic of Chad however as the years have gone on since 2010 it has remained constant thus, the amount of deaths still related to AIDs are high.



In chad adults 15 years and over 56 percent are receiving treatment while children under 15 only 16 percent are receiving treatment. This is a step into the right direction however, the more births Chad has while the pregnant women has HIV the likelihood of HIV being transmitted is high allowing more children to contact this disease and more children to not receive treatment. In the graph to the right you can notice how in 2015 their was an incline on those receiving HIV treatment but then declined just a bit back in 2016 and in a way remained constant from 2016-2018. Treatment for those who are suffering from HIV/AIDs is important but so is teaching better ways to not contact the disease which is sex education. In Chad 13.07 percent of both women and men ages 15-24 know how to identify ways in preventing sexually transmitted diseases.

Chad needs all the help it can get wether it just be giving treatment or actually teaching those in Chad what HIV is, how they should keep up with their disease, ways to prevent others from contacting the disease and teaching them so they can teach their community too.

    Hello, HIV and AIDS are a serious problem in all country's but it seems like Chad is not making much progress over the years. Although it has decreased in the last 18 years it is still very high. I know that U.S has helped so many country's that need medical attention but U.S can not help them all. I do agree the best way this country can make progress is to learn as much as possible about these diseases so they can live a long healthy life. Great job on your post!

Democratic People's Republic of Korea North Korea or more officially called Democratic People's Republic of Korea have an 66 deaths out of 100,000 lives births and although this does not seem as much of an issue to other countries, we still have to factor in how many people including women are deprived many necessities of life because of their government. If you were to look around the other countries in East Asia you would easily be able to compare the numbers to each other, in 2017 Japan had 5 deaths out of 100,000 live births, South Korea had 11 deaths out of 100,000 live births. Due to the lack of a well-built health system more than half of under five age deaths occur  during the first 28 days of life due to preterm birth complications.
