N E P A L - Child and Maternal Health 

Image of Nepali mother and babyNepal is a country located in South Asia, throughout the years there have been many improvement to the country. USAID states that "Investments in essential health services have helped double the life expectancy since 1960." With this being said the number of faculties with trained and skilled healthcare workers have improved as well in all parts of Nepal. This has helped bring maternal deaths down "by more than 75 percent since 1990" and decreasing the amount of under five "child mortality by more than 66 percent over the past 20 years. These improving numbers show just how much public health advocates and funding can go along way to help those in countries that need it the most.

USAID "supports the more than 50,000-strong national Female Community Health Volunteer Program in providing vitamin A supplementation, immunizations, family planning counseling, safe motherhood interventions, community-based integrated management of childhood illnesses, particularly the detection and treatment of pneumonia and diarrhea—the top two causes of child deaths in Nepal—and community-based newborn care package." This amount of care in a country that needs it the most is what's helping double the life expectancy as well as from lowering maternal mortality, and children deaths.
 
Some remote areas still have limited access to healthcare services and providers but the volunteers in those remote areas are all the Nepalis have. USAID continues to helps Nepal by trying to ensure women and children get the healthcare they need.

    Hello, you did an excellent job on your blog about Nepal. Honestly, I forgot all about Nepal, but I am glad that you where able to cover it. I like that USAID help support healthcare all around. I like the fact that there is volunteers that help with the rural areas since they have very little access to the hospitals.

    Hello, after i read your blog i believe Nepal has greatly succeed over the years with the help of USAID. Although they still have work to do there is hope that Nepal will become a healthier place to live as the years go by.

    I had no idea Nepal suffered this way. You did an exceptional job delivering all of the facts on this topic. I'm glad to see that the numbers of well-trained health care workers are going up ultimately bringing the numbers of maternal and child fatalities down. Great work.

    I enjoyed your post. Nepal has very much they can do to do better. With the USAID they receive they can better the life of their people. They suffered for long now they can turn it around for the best.

    I was interested to hear about Nepal and how they are receiving funding towards their healthcare resources. The fact that it has helped bring maternal deaths down is a great improvement, and I would hope that they keep receiving this funding to help other health issues the country may have.

Democratic People's Republic of Korea North Korea or more officially called Democratic People's Republic of Korea have an 66 deaths out of 100,000 lives births and although this does not seem as much of an issue to other countries, we still have to factor in how many people including women are deprived many necessities of life because of their government. If you were to look around the other countries in East Asia you would easily be able to compare the numbers to each other, in 2017 Japan had 5 deaths out of 100,000 live births, South Korea had 11 deaths out of 100,000 live births. Due to the lack of a well-built health system more than half of under five age deaths occur  during the first 28 days of life due to preterm birth complications. C H A D  Chad is located in North Central Africa, the population in 2017 was roughly around 15 million. Amongst those 15 million in 2018 120,000 in Chad were affected with HIV, 6500 were newly infected and 3100 had died from AIDS related illnesses. Although there has been some progress within the years the Republic of Chad still has a long way to go.   As present in the graph to the left it indicates how there has been a decline in AIDs related deaths in the recent years. In 2010 there was a 12% decrease in AIDs related deaths  from 3500 to 3100 deaths. The small decrease still is an achievement within the Republic of Chad however as the years have gone on since 2010 it has remained constant thus, the amount of deaths still related to AIDs are high.
